 Friends,

Since first hearing Andrew Lloyd Weber and Tim Rice’s incredible Jesus Christ Superstar some twenty-five years ago, it has always been my dream to perform the entire work front-to-back. Thanks to the inspiration from Steve Raymond and the tireless dedication of all the members of the band - especially our dauntless keyboard musicians, Jeannie and Greg - I’m now able to realize this dream. We worked from no score: all the music was distilled by ear out of the original recordings. And our task was complicated and interrupted by a series of personal and group tragedies that only served to galvanize us in our purpose.

We want to thank Principal Steve Papesh for the use of Scecina High School’s facilities, and Dave Burkhard and the members of the Little Flower Men’s Group for their help and support in sponsoring our program. I personally want to thank the cast - Steve, Jeannie, Sherry, Pat, Greg, Bill, Chris, Deborah, Joe, Mary, Doug, and Mike - for sharing their time, love, and talent with me these last few months: you certainly have enriched my life beyond all measure.

I finally want to thank my wife - my queen - Peggy, and our children Randi and Jesse for putting up with me and my aspirations all this time; and my lord Jesus Christ: You’ve got the Power and the Glory.
